Stephen J Tich
Managing Partner

Stephen has built a career partnering with leading companies to generate unique value and drive exponential growth. 

Over his 15-year tenure at HSBC leading global insurance, mortgage, and credit card businesses and operations, he has scaled sustainable strategies, designed and uncovered innovative growth models and partnered strategically to transform businesses and enable billions in sales. 

He has played critical operating roles in companies, centered on driving strategic direction and creating diverse teams that exceed growth goals. He was most recently an Operating Executive and Board Director at Ag Resource Management and is currently President and COO of Trade Capital Corporation, an innovative fintech startup that enables capital efficient supply chains. 

Drawing on his extensive experience, he is excited to partner with founders who share the belief that financial technology can take verticals to the next wave. At Electric Owl Ventures, Stephen’s advisory-led approach reignites companies’ growth engines through transformation that delivers value, strategically engaging where the most impact can be made. 

Stephen is a Minnesota native and has led operations in Chicago, New York, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. He possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Minnesota, and received his MBA in General Management and Finance from Georgetown University.

Annie Guo
Marketing & Ops

Annie has worked in tech focused on sales, marketing, and operations for the past decade. She has been involved with Berkeley SkyDeck, Haas Climate Solutions Fund, and the entrepreneurship community.

She was a Health and Societies major, with a focus on Health Care Markets and Finance, at the University of Pennsylvania; and received her MBA from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Nancy R. Tich, MS, Ph.D., Managing Director, Electric Owl Life Sciences Advisory 

Electric Owl Life Sciences Advisory (Electric Owl LSA) was founded by Nancy Tich, MS, Ph.D., Managing Director, in late 2025. Nancy spent 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry in roles of increasing responsibility in large pharmaceutical companies, small startup biotech and Contract Research Organizations (CROs). Her experience includes preclinical through Phase 3 development activities.

Nancy demonstrates expertise in leading global clinical trials (Phases I-III), clinical development programs, project management and strategic partnerships. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, driving high-quality organizational growth and navigating complex, cross-cultural environments across North America, Asia-Pac and Europe.

Nancy believes in orchestrating collaborative engagement across functional areas, streamlining processes to expedite drug development and accelerate bringing new therapies to patients while maintain high quality and compliance. Her core values include leading while mentoring, driving formation of strong collaborative teams, navigating patient advocacy relationships to best serve patients and families and leading by example to develop the next generation of clinical development specialist.
